1.) Describe the term ‘interactive TV’.
Interactive TV is a TV broadcast that allows a user to do something other than watch the program, from getting more information, submitting an email, or making a purchase. They can watch what they want when they want and also download the show. 2.) Explain the reasons why interactive TV is now called TV 2.0.
It is called interactive 2.0 because they have brought T.V to a new level, level 2.0. Its the same as having foxtel digital and foxtel IQ. Interactive 2.0 ables you to download the movie/show from the past or from the future. It is a new form of interacting with the T.V shows/movies.
3.) Outline the positives and negatives of implementing interactive TV.
The positives that come out of interactive T.V is:
- Saves you your time of buying a video from a video store.
- Saves you money
- Saves you petrol
- You can watch what you want when you want and how you want
- You can watch new movies/shows
- You can watch old shows that you used to like
- You can download the show/movie
The negatives that come out of interactive T.V are:
- People will spend more time on the television and not doing regular activity
- People will get obesity by the day
- Downloading a program will waste heaps of your Internet downloads.
- Buying a new box for the T.V costs money, maybe some people wont like to waste their money on that.
4.) Apple released recently Apple TV – Take 2. Describe the reasons why it needed to be changed. Apples released earlier only had a few features, which didn’t really take interest to anyone. So the reasons why it needed to be changed was because, nobody was interested and nobody bought the apple T.V. So when apple take 2 releases, there will be new features which makes sure that the people are more interested and then everybody will be buying a Apple T.V take 2.
