ANIMATIONS

The word “animation” is a storytelling medium that it consists in the rapid display of a sequence of images of 2-D artwork or model positions in order to create an illusion of movement.
I learnt what the meaning of animation and also what frames used in animations.

FLASH

There are alot of things i have learnt in flash, i have learnt:

• Some toolbars like shape tool, selection tool, free transform tool, subselection tool, text tool, line tool, shape tool, pencil tool, brush tool, eraser tool, change colour and size.
• Motion tween
• Shape tween
• Layers
• Timeline effects
• Motion Guide
• Cloud animation

I havnt yet learnt how to make a figure walk yet.

To me, i believe that the different backgrounds are portrayed by Matt, not the media. Matt showed us in the rich countries, there was happiness, and also Matt showed us the poor countries, but still there was happiness in people. The media portray the poor countries un happy, sad and lonely. This means that the public aren’t seeing the truth, they are seeing the truth manipulated by the media.

2) What questions would you ask?

The questions i would ask top Matt are:

• Why are there people dancing.
• Why do you put that type of music
• How did you make this presentation
• Did you actually go to all these countries
• Did you use Final Cut Pro
• Why did you choose them types of backgrounds

3) Why are we showing it at this time of the project?

I think you are showing the video ” Where the hells Matt ” at this time to remind us about what we need to do to be different then the media in our Media Watch episode, we need to be like the Media Watch on T.V so we can prove to the public that they aren’t always true. They are just brainwashing us without false information or manipulated information.

I also think that you showed the video to us now because now we understand what the media really does to us, we need to take action in this, when need to tell the public.

In the project with Maroun, Budwe and I was a great success. The like in the project were

      Making a presentation

      Checking the rubric every lesson to check if we have done everything in the criteria to get an A.

      That everyone did there part of work

      There weren’t any complaints

      No fights

      Work not done at the last minute

The dislikes were:

      Chose a hard scope to get information from

      Chose a hard scope then because it was too hard, we had to chose another one with only 2 weeks remaining.

2) What areas do you think you have improved in from project 1 to project 4?

The areas that I have improved on are:

      Presentation skills

      Work Ethic skills

      Team work skills

      Finding information of the internet faster

3) What further skills would you like to develop over the next few projects?

      Photoshop skills

a) Analyse why red sunsets can sometimes be more impressive when there is more dust or pollution in the air than usual.

The red sunset all depends on how bright the white light beam. If the beam is very bright, no dust or pollution will effect the powerful red sunset, but if the white light is very dark, there will be only a small red sunset, then the dust and the pollution will effect the red sunset. The other main reason is because of scattering of light.

b) Describe what happens inside water droplets to cause a rainbow and explain how you can tell whether a rainbow is a primary or secondary.

Water droplets act like tiny prisms in the sky, sometimes the colour will hit our eyes after refracting an undergoing total internal reflection. Droplets higher in the sky refract red into our eyes, while green and blue go overhead. In drops lower in the sky, blue light is refracted and reflected to our eyes, but green and red light lower down, missing our eyes. The overall effect would be a primary rainbow – this is where red is at the top and blue is at the bottom. If it’s a secondary rainbow, blue would be at the top, and red would be at the bottom.

A) What causes the defect

The things that could cause defect for short sightedness are certain diseases and certain Drugs (type 2 diabetes). It also may run into families.

The things that could cause defect for long sightedness are less curved corneas – the main optical component of the eye. There may also be a hereditary component, as the children of long-sighted parents can be long-sighted. 

B) The symptoms displayed

The symptoms displayed for short sightedness are:

·         Blurry vision, particularly at night

·         Problems seeing objects up close

·         Eyestrain, Aching eyes, headaches

A child with this problem may have no symptoms, but a child with more severe and serious farsightedness may:

·         Have headaches

·         Problems reading

·         Rub his/her eyes often

C) Propose what sort of lens may be used to correct each vision.

The correct lens for a person which has long sightedness would be a convex lens, and the suitable lens for a person which has short sightedness would be a concave lens.

The stuff that influences my values relating to my life happens every day. During prayers, working on an assignment relating to something that I will learn about and influence my values.

2) Do you ever compare images/values presented by the media to those of the bible? If so why? If not, why not?

No I don’t compare images from the bible to the media because I feel that whatever I see from the bible stays as a religious value, and the things I see in the media stays in that category.

3) Has this project challenged you to examine your values? Why / Why not

No, I don’t feel any need to do that.

I think that the media try to take advantage of social justice issues. They take advantage because the more people and the more things involved the bigger the story, the bigger the story is, the more people want to know about the story, and the more people the more views of the story, so therefore the media can change the original story to their own story for more viewers.

Has it been difficult to find articles on social justice issues why/why not?

No, because there are more Social Justice issues these day, this means there are more articles and stories published by the media.

Do you think that the media operates from a moral framework? Give evidence by using your research.

No, they don’t want small news, they want breaking news to keep the viewers attention on their company.

I have learnt not to judge a book by its cover. I have also learnt that the media portrays image without even researching about it. When the media portrays their image, we tend to portray the image in the same way as the media.

2) What have you learnt about thinking for yourselves?

I think for myself in most situations, when I should be thinking and caring for others. When I see somebody less fortunate than me, I feel sorry for them, I fell like they need help, but I can’t help them because there is one of me, and heaps of poor, hungry, disabled who need help. So today I have learnt that not all people who look poor to us and the media are unhappy. We think they are unhappy because the media portrays them in a different way, but some people are happy, because all they need in life is family, food and water.

A critique is discovering serious and critical things to say about an article to describe than to anaylse.

The Beijing Olympics: Are They A Trap?

China has spent millions of dollars on the birds nest in Beijing. Other countries believe that the Beijing Olympics could be a trap.

People think that the Chinese governments have set up traps to catch athletes. They say that the Chinese have dug up holes and put leaves around them to cover up the evidence.

I think that the people are getting a bit crazy; I’m not sure why they think that they have set up traps, but obviously I think that they are crazy.

There are no holes and traps covered by leaves to catch athletes, and there aren’t any Chinese athletes that train to come killing machines.

2-Year-Old Donkey Called Up To Pro Donkey Basketball League

Donkeys playing Basketball! Sounds weird, but it’s all true, young Scraps is playing at the top level, signed by the coach for 50 pounds of feed corns a day, the record.

At 15 months old, he is playing under crowds of 200-300 people watching him. Scraps is training well and is in shape, Coach says he is eating healthy and his playing at his best.

This sport is good for the public to watch; it is a very entertaining sport and would be a funny one to watch. It would be good to see how donkeys react to what’s happening around them.

Good luck to Scraps, I no he would be a success in the future for his team.
